Welcome to my 3D projects
All of the following 3D projects have been part of school projects. For these projects I have worked in MAYA, 3DS Max and Blender.
I am not a pro in 3D, but I have enjoyed practicing different elements of the programs through different projects and I would love to get better at it.
Blender
I have learned to model here and there in blender, but most of my time I have worked on an animation for a VR Unreal Engine group project
For many reasons we ended up not finishing the VR experience itself, but I was quite proud of the the animation I made for it considering I don't have much experience with animating in 3D.
3Ds MAX PROJECTS
Unfortunately I only learned to model in 3Ds Max, for at my studies no one taught how to animate in 3Ds Max.
For my first ever 3Ds Max project, we had to model a layout with randomly picked elements that had to be included. I received: Ancient Greece, Prison, Boots.
I created a moodboard and a styleboard for the project and began modelling. Slowly all the elements came together over the course of a few classes.
I also worked in 3Ds Max on recreating the tower of Rapunzel in the Efteling, but there is no Sketchfab 3D model to show off for it never seemed to work with this tower in particular.
MAYA PROJECTS
In Maya I learned how to model and animate, though I didn't learn properly how to animate in Maya till my studies at WdKA.
My first animation in Maya went okay, not great, but not bad either. Working in 3D is something I just need more time with to get right properly and unfortunately at my studies the time just wasn't always there. We had to animate something on a chosen audio file.
I chose the audio: "Trashbag of potatoes" and I had to create a "On the road" movie with this audio.
For my first ever Maya project, we had to create a weapon that could be used in a game. (I studied Game art and Animation at Sint Lucas at the time)
My idea became a fan that would allow the player to create hurricanes in the game. For a first 3D model, this was quite difficult.
For my second Maya project we had to model an entrance with randomly picked elements that had to be included. I received: Ancient Greece, Prison, Boots. I created a moodboard and a styleboard for the project and began modelling. I created 3 variants and chose 1 of them to continue with, after some work I had my final render.
I have also created this piece in 3D and I believe it's from Maya, though it was made outside of my 3D classes and thus I'm unsure after so many years.
